My Story
I grew up in the south. Unfortunately, I didn't have generations of women to take from and I learned my way around the kitchen; but my mother was definitely enough as I took away from this human cookbook. Growing up, my mother had to be both parents. I watched her struggle, hustle, and more importantly, provide. There were days she came home and didn't feel like stepping into a kitchen to feed my little sister and I so I said to myself, "Let me take over." If there were any breaks to give her that could at least be one of them. I would try to have dinner ready by the time she got home so she would know what it was like to have a home cooked meal waiting for her. With all the tools she gave me, I perfected this craft, put a smile on her face, and made her not want to pick up another skillet ever again. Cooking has become my passion. Watching and knowing people are enjoying my food is inspires me to push for more. To create such delicacies is such an euphoria. What they call simply cooking, I call art. Welcome to The Exhibit of Taste.
